Adidas Facebook and Twitter Superstars

Don’t you just love it when people start to think that same? This concept has been created by someone on the Fashionology wave length.

Web designer/illustrator/digital artist, Gerry McKay, has drawn up a concept of a pairof Facebook or Twitter Adidas Superstars.

For those of you less in touch with trainer speak, Superstars are considered one of the most classic trainer designs ever made.

Gerry has taken this classic shoe and applied heo popular theme of social media to the design. He did this following the Adidas Superstars’ 35th anniversary in 2006 and said of the Twitter trainer:

“Twitter as a brand is increasingly on the rise and I thought it would be interesting to see what it would look like if Adidas also released a limited edition Twitter Superstar.”

What do you make of these concepts? Would you wear an Adidas Twitter or Facebook  Superstar trainer?

Uniqlo HEATTECH technology

If you have, like me, been suffering from numerous colds thanks to this frost weather across the UK then you need to get your hands on some of Uniqlo’s HEATTECH technology.

charlize theron

Much-loved high street brand Uniqlo has introduced a bit of winter warming Fashionology to this seasons range. HEATTECH is a line of heat-generating lightweight clothing that looks and feels amazing!

heattech_longsleeve

The HEATTECH line has been fronted by some big names, including Charlize Theron and Britain’s own Orlando Bloom and is on my wish-list this Christmas. No need for ugly thermals and unflattering, puffed-up woolly jumpers this winter, Uniqlo has you covered.

The technology behind it is truly cutting-edge. The fabric used has been cultivated from tens of thousands of prototypes and cannot be made with any ordinary equipment.

heattech_bodywarmer

HEATTECH clothing generates heat by holding pockets of air between the fibres in layers that keep you warm. Not only that,  but it retains the heat it creates thanks to the specially designed hollow fibres.

What’s more, the items are lightweight and actually shrink to fit your body, so they are non-restrictive and oh so comfortable!

HEATTECH fibres contain a special anti-bacterial agent that helps to minimize body odour and also contain amino acids that make the material soft and smooth against your skin. It is durable and apparently maintains its shape even after washing.

heattech_scarf

They look great, keep you warm and B.O. free, what more could you ask for? You want to know the best part? Uniqlo has got an offer on HEATTECH clothing!

You can get two items priced at £9.99 for just £14.99 and any two products priced at £12.99 for just £19.99 up until midnight on Wednesday 22nd December!

Kate Moss stars in the first fashion 3D movie

I don’t know how I let this one slip by, but here is the news for those of you who missed it too. Kate Moss recently starred in the world’s first fashion 3D movie, KM3D-1 in collaboration with AnOther magazine.

KM3D-1

Artist and filmmaker Baillie Walsh created the short 3D film who previously worked with Moss on a hologram for Alexander McQueen’s Fall 2006 show.

In the film, Moss is depicted in an almost goddess-like manner, thanks to the stylings of Jerry Stafford. Using state-of-the-art Phantom cameras, Moss was captured at 1,000 shots per second, which allowed the film to be slowed down to a speed at which a slow movement is almost undetectable.

Kate appears frozen in time, before she launches a handful of shattering diamonds at the camera. This film is truly beautiful and the 3D technology makes for a more mystical viewing – you can view it here.

Lily Allen dresses Samsung laptop for Lucy in Disguise

All I want for Christmas…is the new Samsung laptop that Lily Allen and her sister Sarah Owen have designed for their Vintage range Lucy in Disguise (LiD).

Samsung_Lily-Allen

Lily and her sister have teamed up with Samsung to revamp the SF310 notebook which will feature exclusively in Vintage store in Covent Garden, London.

The design is very Art Deco, featuring a repeated black and white LiD logo.

Lily said of the collaboration:

“I’m so excited now the store is up and running and we made some great sales on the first day. These notebooks look great and really complement the Lucy in Disguise concept. I can’t wait to get my hands on one!”

I right there with you Lily! These stylish laptops are only available at the Lucy in Disguise store (10-13 King Street, Covent Garden London, WC2E 8HN). Price has not been specified yet but the normal SF310 costs around £800, so expect it to be a little over that.

Freehands gloves keep you warm and in touch!

As the days of November get steadily more frosty I, as a touchscreen phone user, am finding it hard to keep my hands warm and work my phone.

You all know what I mean. You have your woolly gloves on, you are rushing down the street to work, trying to text your friend on your iPhone/Samsung/HTC creation or maybe a Blackberry phone with those fiddly, teeny-tiny keys.

freehands

The next thing you know you have mispelt the whole message or even worse (like I did the other day) you have flung your precious baby onto the floor in your desperation to Swype!

This may seem like a rather small issue to be moaning about, but it it still an issue nonetheless. But I have discovered a solution thanks to a friend of mine. Freehand has a collection of gloves specifically designed to make texting, typing and Swyping a whole lot easier!

The simple design involves PVC palm dots for grip and detachable index finger and thumb tips. These tips are held back and out of the way by small magnets too – how cute!

These gloves are available for men and women in a range of colours and styles; prices start from as little as £10.16! To browse the collection visit the Freehands website!

CrystalRoc embellishes the Samsung Galaxy Tab with Swarovski crystals

The new Samsung Galaxy tab was released on Monday and already crazy new additions to it have come out of the woodwork. Introducing the more sparkly version of the Tab – the result of a Micro Anvika and CrystalRoc collaboration.

crystal_galaxyTab

This already impressive tablet has been blinged-up with 5,700 hand-placed Swarovski crystals. The logo is also customisable but is shown here in in Jet Hematite.

Stunning…yes. Unnecessary…definitely. This piece of Fashionology should only be pursued if you have £2,700 spare in the bank, otherwise stick to the average £499 un-glittery version, which is also very stylish it must be said.

If you want to get your hands on one, or you simply want to gaze at its Edward-Cullen-esque beauty, then pop down to the Micro Anvika section of Harrods where it is being exclusively sold.
