Uniqlo HEATTECH technology

If you have, like me, been suffering from numerous colds thanks to this frost weather across the UK then you need to get your hands on some of Uniqlo’s HEATTECH technology.

charlize theron

Much-loved high street brand Uniqlo has introduced a bit of winter warming Fashionology to this seasons range. HEATTECH is a line of heat-generating lightweight clothing that looks and feels amazing!

heattech_longsleeve

The HEATTECH line has been fronted by some big names, including Charlize Theron and Britain’s own Orlando Bloom and is on my wish-list this Christmas. No need for ugly thermals and unflattering, puffed-up woolly jumpers this winter, Uniqlo has you covered.

The technology behind it is truly cutting-edge. The fabric used has been cultivated from tens of thousands of prototypes and cannot be made with any ordinary equipment.

heattech_bodywarmer

HEATTECH clothing generates heat by holding pockets of air between the fibres in layers that keep you warm. Not only that,  but it retains the heat it creates thanks to the specially designed hollow fibres.

What’s more, the items are lightweight and actually shrink to fit your body, so they are non-restrictive and oh so comfortable!

HEATTECH fibres contain a special anti-bacterial agent that helps to minimize body odour and also contain amino acids that make the material soft and smooth against your skin. It is durable and apparently maintains its shape even after washing.

They look great, keep you warm and B.O. free, what more could you ask for? You want to know the best part? Uniqlo has got an offer on HEATTECH clothing!

You can get two items priced at £9.99 for just £14.99 and any two products priced at £12.99 for just £19.99 up until midnight on Wednesday 22nd December!

Fashionology’s pick of designer laptop cases

A laptop to a blogger is like a third arm; an awkwardly shaped arm you often find yourself dragging around in your favourite tote simply because that case it came in was hideously ugly, is seriously bulky and doesn’t go with your outfit!

So, Fashionology has scoped out the very best designer laptop cases so you can carry your notebook with pride!

CrystalRoc embellishes the Samsung Galaxy Tab with Swarovski crystals

The new Samsung Galaxy tab was released on Monday and already crazy new additions to it have come out of the woodwork. Introducing the more sparkly version of the Tab – the result of a Micro Anvika and CrystalRoc collaboration.

crystal_galaxyTab

This already impressive tablet has been blinged-up with 5,700 hand-placed Swarovski crystals. The logo is also customisable but is shown here in in Jet Hematite.

Stunning…yes. Unnecessary…definitely. This piece of Fashionology should only be pursued if you have £2,700 spare in the bank, otherwise stick to the average £499 un-glittery version, which is also very stylish it must be said.

If you want to get your hands on one, or you simply want to gaze at its Edward-Cullen-esque beauty, then pop down to the Micro Anvika section of Harrods where it is being exclusively sold.

Fashionology has found a stylish cycling helmet!

A few months ago I wrote a post about stylish light-up bicycle jackets and since then I have been on a mission to find a fashionable helmet to complete the deal.

As more and more people jump on the cycling bandwagon, I am beginning to feel the urge to do so myself. But before I perch myself precariously on a Boris bike and peddle about the busy London streets, I want to make sure I am safe – a cracked skull is not a good look.

One problem…cycling helmets can be very ugly things, especially if like me you aren’t a ‘hat person’. But thankfully there may be a solution, thanks to the Swedish designers behind Hövding or Chieftain as it is also known.

Hövding

Hövding is a cycling helmet unlike any other on the market – for a start, its not really a helmet – it’s more of an airbag for your head. Hövding is effectively a collar that you wear around your neck which can cleverly be disguised as a scarf or snood and inside it holds a folded up airbag.

Hövding airbag

In the event of an accident, this airbag will inflate into a cushioned hood around your head, shielding you from injury. Sounds strange I know, but if you take a look at this video you can see how it works.

Hövding

The airbag is made of durable nylon, to prevent bursting when in contact with concrete and inflates in an impressive 0.1 seconds. The collar is fitted with a tiny helium gas generator and is called into action by accelerometers and gyro-meters – which record the abnormal movement of a rider in an accident.

Hövding

This is such a great invention! The collars look great and mean that you can keep safe on the road without sporting a heavy and unattractive helmet!

The Chieftain can also tell the difference between small movements and a car hitting you at 20 miles an hour, to there is no risk of you inflating your head whilst you bend down to big up you bag.

HövdingThere is so much more technical genius behind the Hövding so if you would like to read more about it visit the Hövding website.
