Ever the fashionable PC manufacturer, HP has enlisted the help of photographer Dave Hogan and Saatchi & Saatchi for a new stylish paparazzi inspired campaign for its Notebook Collection.
Jean Pierre Le Calvez, vice president of marketing at HP, said:
“The Paparazzi campaign aims to capture the vibrant lifestyles of young, design conscious consumers and showcase how our style portfolio puts them centre stage and helps them perform.”
The star models of this campaign, and by models I mean laptops, include the HP Mini 210, the HP Pavilion dv6, the HP Pavilion dm4, the HP Envy and the famous HP Vivienne Tam Edition notebook – the one that took the fashion world by storm in the spring of this year.
It is a very glamorous campaign, that shows technology as the latest fashion accessory, which isn’t far off the mark. I mean how many stars have you see out and about clutching their shiny new iPads, using them as shields from their camera wielding stalkers?!
HP is also advertising a trade-in alongside this campaign, whereby you can trade in your old notebook and receive a full £150 back against any qualifying new HP notebook PC.
This is obviously subject to terms and conditions which you will find on the HP site along with the rest of the shots and a “making of” video.

I know I probably go against the unwritten rules of feminism and prove myself to be a huge cliché but I just don’t care. My name is Rosie and I like pink laptops – there I said it – and really love the latest design from HP.
I am a sucker for any laptop that looks good, immediately I’m drawn to it; they are what even inspired me to start this blog! Obviously I’m not a total Barbie, (who is actually a computer engineer now I would like to remind you) I only appreciate laptops that look good and still serve as a decent computer.
HP is my favourite computer manufacturer because it is one of the only ones who truly understands the need to have a well functioning laptop that is attractive. HP has collaborated with Vivienne Tam, Studio Tord Boontje and has now released a pretty and preppy netbook.
The Mini 210’s Pringle-esque pink and yellow tartan design has been implemented using the same HP Imprint 3-D technology used on the HP Mini 110 by Studio Tord Boontje. The whole thing is pale pink, except the screen obviously and the track pad is decorated in the same tartan as the lid.
Oh and watch out for the cute little cupcake print on the bottom of the chassis!
The way I see it is, if you spend as much time on a computer as I do, it would be nice to look at something pretty!
