Ever the fashionable PC manufacturer, HP has enlisted the help of photographer Dave Hogan and Saatchi & Saatchi for a new stylish paparazzi inspired campaign for its Notebook Collection.
Jean Pierre Le Calvez, vice president of marketing at HP, said:
“The Paparazzi campaign aims to capture the vibrant lifestyles of young, design conscious consumers and showcase how our style portfolio puts them centre stage and helps them perform.”
The star models of this campaign, and by models I mean laptops, include the HP Mini 210, the HP Pavilion dv6, the HP Pavilion dm4, the HP Envy and the famous HP Vivienne Tam Edition notebook – the one that took the fashion world by storm in the spring of this year.
It is a very glamorous campaign, that shows technology as the latest fashion accessory, which isn’t far off the mark. I mean how many stars have you see out and about clutching their shiny new iPads, using them as shields from their camera wielding stalkers?!
HP is also advertising a trade-in alongside this campaign, whereby you can trade in your old notebook and receive a full £150 back against any qualifying new HP notebook PC.
This is obviously subject to terms and conditions which you will find on the HP site along with the rest of the shots and a “making of” video.

The Daily Mirror has just closed entries for its Sex and the City 2 and HP challenge in which entrants had the chance to win a HP TouchSmart notebook.
The computer manufacturer has impressed techie fashionistas again by teaming up with the most fashionable movie of the year. Its most recent fashion collaboration, the HP Vivienne Tam Mini was even featured in the film and now two avid fans will win their very own HP laptop.

Most fashion lovers, and those who love trashy American TV, will have heard of Project Runway, the show presented by Heidi Klum that pits 16 budding designers against each other for the ultimate prize.
The winner will receive $100,000, the chance to start their own line, a $50,000 package from HP, a feature spread in Elle magazine and a mentorship from a design firm.
You may think this is a recipe for cat fights, tantrums and many laughs at their expense but in this seventh season, the game has been taken to a whole new technological level.
Project runway has teamed up with HP, a computer manufacture that is famous for its fashion conscious collaborations. This year contestants will trade in their paper and pencils and instead design with a HP TouchSmart PC or HP TouchSmart tm2 notebook, both powered by Intel.
For the first time in the series, in a special episode featuring Vivienne Tam – who collaborated with HP to create the digital clutch, the HP Mini 210 Vivienne Tam Edition – the designers will be asked to make fabric patterns using a HP TouchSmart PC. A clip can be viewed here.
This collaboration between the show and HP demonstrates how the fashion industry and more importantly the designing process can come along leaps and bounds though the use of technology. People thought that touch technology was just a gimmick, but it is proving to be a useful tool for those in the creative industries.
If you want to watch the remainder of the season then check it out on Sky1 and Sky1 HD on Wednesdays at 8pm, or you can catch it on Sky Player.
